Selling your used textbooks, study guides, literature, and other books to bookcircus.com is not only easy, but it gets you top dollar and enables us in turn to pass the savings on to you and other students. Selling and buying used textbooks not only saves money, but saves countless trees and reduces the overall carbon footprint involved with new textbooks.
Follow these 5 quick and easy steps to sell your books:
- Click "Sell Your Books" tab from anywhere on the site.
- Locate the ISBN number on the back of the book you want to sell and enter it into the text field provided.
- Click "Get Quote" or "Add to List" to see your offer.
- If you agree to the price listed, sell your books to us by clicking on the "Review Sale" button, and follow the instructions to check out and ship your books.
- Once we receive and process your book(s), we'll send you a check for your total sale.
Note: Each quote is good for books shipped within 5 days and is dependent on your books meeting our condition guidelines.
» What are ancillaries?
Ancillaries are additional items that often come packaged with a book, such as CDs, booklets, and even study guides. Various "online codes", that allow access to online materials related to the book, are also common.
When you sell books to bookcircus.com, you will see any ancillaries that we require detailed in the title information. If specified, these ancillaries are necessary to receive the price you are quoted for the book.

bookcircus.com uses the conditions "very good" and "good" to describe our books. These are common terms used in many online textbook marketplaces to describe the varying degrees of used condition books. For a more detailed explanation see our Condition Guidelines.
All books you sell to bookcircus.com will be evaluated using these guidelines. Books that do not meet these conditions may receive a lesser value, or no value at all. We do not currently return unacceptable books.

The price we offer for a used book is based on its future value. The most important determining factor is whether a book is being reused on a campus or in a school somewhere in the country. Overall demand for the book and how many copies we currently have in stock also affect the value. The earlier you sell back your books, the more they're worth and the more likely it is that we'll buy them.

bookcircus.com is modeled around the average consumer that wants to sell their personal books and textbooks they may have used. Usually this consists of 1 or 2 copies. If you have more than 5 copies, or are a school or a bulk textbook dealer and wish to sell us higher quantities of multiple titles, please contact us at buyback@bookcircus.com so we can assist you further.

Return to top» How do I ship my books to bookcircus.com?
Once you complete the buyback process, you will receive emails both from bookcircus.com and from FedEx. bookcircus.com will provide you a packing list and other instructions. FedEx provides a link for you to print a prepaid label and also provides information about how to get your package to them, so they can deliver it to us. bookcircus.com will pay for you to ship your books to us.

Shipping your buyback to bookcircus.com is totally free to you the customer.
Return to top» How will I be paid?
When bookcircus.com receives your shipment, it will be evaluated for correct titles, supplements, condition, etc. After this has been completed, payment will be made based on what was received and evaluated.
bookcircus.com pays buybacks by check so make sure to verify your address and name when you submit your buyback. This is the name the check will be made to, and the address to which it will be mailed. Checks typically go out 2 to 4 weeks after receipt of your buyback.
